Have you ever been bothered by a cutting mat which was full of cuts and with illegible scale marks? If so, why don’t you choose one cutting mat that can keep such disturbances away?
The MTS-021 Hobby Cutting Mat presented by MENG and DSAIPE is free of those problems. Its size is 450mm×300mm. It’s made of high quality eco-friendly materials and EN71 certified. This cutting mat is constructed of white ABS core and self-healing surfaces. It has a grey/black reversible design with non-glare surface and clear working area. The front surface is printed with 6 popular scales, squares of different sizes and half circles with degrees. Its back surface is printed with a grid dedicated to centimeters which is more suitable for model building.

This 1/35 scale IDF 1/4-Ton 4×4 Truck inherits the excellent foundational features of Dragon’s Truck before. However, it has been suitably modified to represent a jeep used by Israel. The model features a solid one-piece body tub that ensures accurate alignment. There are many new parts to help create the IDF variant, including a stowage box on one side of the rear compartment and a radio and antenna on the other. Perhaps the most notable feature of this vehicle is the mounting of two ex-German MG34 machine guns, one in front of the co-driver and another in the rear. The rear gunner is also provided with a bench seat. This is an exciting modification of the famous 4×4 American vehicle, now available with an Israeli twist for the first time in Dragon’s range.

– Detailed MG34 machine gun
– New-tooled Box
– New bench seat for MG gunner

Dragon has a new variant of the Panzer III in its 1/35 scale series of kits. This item is a Panzer III Ausf.K, a tank type that didn’t actually make it all the way into series production. The Ausf.K was basically to be a Panzer III Ausf.J chassis combined with a Panzer IV Ausf.F2 turret that mounted a KwK.40 75mm gun. After receiving orders to prepare such a tank design, Krupp had completed sets of drawings by 27 December 1941. However, such a vehicle faced serious problems in terms of the Panzer III being able to cope with the extra weight, new suspension, new tracks and a changed center of gravity. By March 1942, Krupp had been instructed to drop the project and to keep arming the Panzer III with a 50mm gun instead.
Dragon’s 1/35 scale kit of the Pz.Kpfw.III Ausf.K is a smart combination of subassemblies from previous top-quality kits. Thus, it mates a turret from a Panzer IV Ausf.F2 to a Panzer III chassis and hull. Also included in the kit is the upper hull plate from Dragon’s latest Pz.Bef.Wg.III Ausf.K command tank, which would have allowed a larger turret to be fitted on this tank. Although this ultimately remained a “paper panzer”, the Pz.Kpfw.III K is a unique-looking and well-armed tank. Modelers seeking something a little different from a run-of-the-mill Panzer III will therefore find this kit rather appealing!
