Soviet T-28 medium tank (riveted type) 07151

The T-28 medium tank was one of the earliest medium-sized tanks in the former Soviet Union. It was officially equipped in the Soviet Red Army since 1933 and has been in service until 1941. In 1932, the Pitlov arsenal built a medium-sized tank prototype. The prototype is similar to the British "Wicks" MKIIIA6E1 medium tank. It is said that the former Soviet Union did not buy such tanks in the United Kingdom at the time, but obtained the design information of such tanks through spies. The prototype has a total weight of 17.3t and a crew of 6 people. Other indicators are the same as the design requirements. After the test, the military requested to increase the thickness of its armor and increase the caliber of the artillery to 76.2 mm. After the prototype was improved, the military agreed to mass production and called it the T-28 medium tank.
