Condition: New product

2x Bf109 G-K – Stencils 1/48 – 248030

The biggest issue relating to using ordinary decals is the varnish which creates a glossy film around the decal. It is quite hard to work with classic decals the way to make this film invisible and it is impossible to reach a good result in case of metallic surfaces. OK, there are dry transfers on the market but work with them is also quite uncomfortable, it is hard to place them correctly and a modeler has the one chance only.

HGW's wet transfers are similar to ordinary decals. It is possible to move them during the attaching process and find the best position. Then just push the water from below the transfer, let it dry few hours, remove the transfer foil and work is done. Only text or symbol stays attached to the surface.

Instructions:

1. Cut the required part.
2. Soak in hot water and wait till the decal loose its base-paper.
3. Apply as regular decal.
4. Push the water from below the decal.
5. Let it dry for 2-3 hours.
6. Remove the transfer foil and clean the glue stains with water.

  • We recommend to spray the surface with a glossy varnish in order to achieve a perfect result.
  • No matter whether you are applying the transfer onto paint or varnish, it is advisable to go over the surface using sandpaper of a grade from 6 000 to 8 000.

F-14A Tomcat VF-1, "Wolf Pack" 80279

The F-14 Tomcat followed a history of "Cats" in the military. The F4F Wildcat and the F6F Hellcat that fought in the skies years before the Tomcat ever bit the air. In the late 1960's, the US Navy dropped its TFX program, and decided to focus on an aircraft dedicated to fleet defense. Grumman had already begun developing the F-14, and was definitely headed for a "Cat" designation. The person responsible for this project was Admiral Tom Conolly, Deputy Chief, Naval Operations for Air. The aircraft was dubbed "Tom's Cat" long before the official name of "Tomcat" was ever adopted.

Russia T-62 BDD 1984 type (1972 type change) 07148

As a successor to the T-55, the T-62 is fitted with a new 2A20 115 mm smoothbore. Both use the same common wheels, track, engine, gearbox, and external fuel tanks. The main difference is that the T-62 has redesigned a new turret for the turret seat and thus lengthened the chassis. Its launched tail-stable armor-piercing projectile can penetrate 300mm thick homogeneous steel at 1000m, which was enough to deal with NATO countries such as the US M-48, and later the British "Emirates" and other tanks. At first, the T-62 was only an emergency design solution to effectively upgrade the T-55 strike capability against NATO's new tanks. Unexpectedly, the performance is reliable and low-cost, making it as large as the T-54/55. The troops became the main chariot.

Despite its introduction in the 1960s, the Soviet Union continued to improve the T-62 and developed the famous T-72 main battle tank on its basis. It is still seen today that the T-62 is in military service in many countries, and the Arab countries including Egypt, Iraq, and Syria are the most concentrated. Israel had seized a large number of T-62s in the Middle East war and put them into use after the generalization of the IDF standards.

Russian KV-9 heavy tank 09563

In the autumn of 1941, the Soviet Supreme Command requested the development of a tank that would effectively support infantry. Under the direction of V. Sidorenko engineers and N. Yushchenko, they designed the code 229 project in December 1941, which used the KV-1 Mod1942 body, the main weapon being the U-11 122 mm howitzer. The first verification vehicle was completed in April 1942. After testing, it was named KV-9. The tank weighs 47 tons and requires four crew members, two in the turret and two on either side of the cockpit. The tank's turret is derived from the easy-to-replace KV-1 tank and has excellent frontal protection. The front turret armor has a thickness of 135 mm and the top armor has a thickness of 40 mm. Equipped with TMFD sights. U-11 guns can use ammunition for M-30 howitzers with an angle of -4 ° to +19,5°. The tank is equipped with 48 grenade and three 7.62 mm DT machine guns equipped with 2,646 machine guns.
