German's Sd.Kfz.251 halftrack series proved highly versatile throughout WWII, and numerous variants were produced over the course of its life. Here comes the standard personnel carrier Sd.Kfz.251/1 Ausf.C. What makes this variant more unusual is that it comes with a towed 3.7cm PaK antitank gun. The cannon has full details of carriage, split trails and set of wheels. Model makers will appreciate the usefulness of this nicknamed "Door Knocker" produced finely in true 1/72 scale. With the halftrack and antitank gun combination, modelers have a choice of an Eastern or Western Front diorama or model display.

Dragon's 1/72 kit of the YF-23 fighter is back! YF-23 was an American technology demonstrator for the Advanced Tactical Fighter competition in the late 1980's. Only two examples of this single-seat, twin-engine stealth fighter were ever built. In 1991 the YF-23 eventually lost out to the YF-22. When Dragon originally released a 1/72 kit of the YF-23, it was an incredibly hot item. Now, after two decades, it has gleefully entered the limelight again. Despite the age of the aircraft’s design, the YF-23 still looks incredibly futuristic yet it is deceptively simple and sleek at the same time. Now as an added bonus for modelers, this kit comes with a reasonable price tag so that customers can easily afford it and enjoy assembling the YF-23 either for the first time or perhaps all over again

Dragon is releasing another attractive 2-in-1 kit in its 1/35 scale range, this time representing a Pz.Kpfw. III tank, a mainstay of Germany’s panzer force in the early years of WWII. This new kit offering allows modelers to build either a Panzer III Ausf.E or Ausf.F variant of the tank. Particularly in the Blitzkrieg campaigns in Poland, France, the Balkans and Russia, the Panzer III was a vital asset.

There weren’t many differences between the Ausf.E and F, but changes did include cast air intakes fitted on the front hull; splash guard on top of upper hull; side plates of upper hull and alternative road wheels for the two variants are all supplied in the kit’s box. Thanks to the widespread application of slide molds, details are beautifully recreated with a minimum number of parts. Photo-etched components ensure absolute realism too. Both two versions now are contained within a single box for maximum modeling appeal. This set is a must-have for modelers seeking to create a diorama or scene from the Blitzkrieg era

After previously releasing a kit of the IDF Zelda, an exciting new M113 combination is now available from Dragon. The new kit allows modelers to build both the M113 Fitters and the Chata’p Field Repair Vehicle. The former is easily identified by a Hiab crane mounted on the roof, enabling it to perform such operations as removing and replacing power packs. The Chata’p, on the other hand, carried spare parts and equipment to allow maintenance and repair of other armored vehicles.

Aptly named a Combo Set, modelers will be able to add two distinctive IDF M113 vehicles, the M113 Fitters and a Chata’p Field Repair Vehicle. They are perfect for each other in a diorama scene, or with a damaged M113 Zelda. The vehicles are realistically depicted and they possess NEO tracks, with brand new parts such as the hydraulic crane, as well as all sorts of stowage boxes and racks on the M113 Fitters. Boxes and racks festoon the Chata’p Field Repair Vehicle as well. Attention has been paid not only to the vehicle exteriors, but also to their interiors, with the internal layout accurately rendered and provided for both vehicles. As before, a free set of DS backpacks and rucksacks are provided so that modelers can attach these to the vehicles’ hulls. As the first such 1/35 IDF Combo Set from Dragon, model-makers receive twice the fun and double the number of vehicles

Dragon is launching a 2 in 1 StuG.IV Early-Production vehicle in 1/35 scale. The kit allows modelers to build either a regular StuG.IV tank destroyer or a Zimmerit-coated one. The Zimmerit coating is finely rendered, and will save modelers hours of mind-numbing work trying to reproduce this texture using putty.

Because the Zimmerit covered most parts of it, two superstructure, two upper hulls, lower hulls and frontal armor are available in the box. Photo-etched parts come as standard, plus there is a bonus metal bucket offered free with this kit. Such utilitarian buckets were often seen hung on the rear of German armored vehicles. Such an item might be small, but it is touches like these that set Dragon kits apart

1/35 Sd.Kfz.171 Panther Ausf.D mit Pantherturm

Dragon new 2-in-1 kit offers both a complete Panther Ausf.D tank and a Pantherturm. The Ausf.D was the original Panther variant, with some 850 tanks produced from January 1943 onwards. Turning to the Pantherturm, it was essentially a Panther turret installed on a concrete bunker dug into the ground to create a static defensive emplacement, used particularly in places like Italy and on the Eastern Front.

Actually it's not only a 2 in 1 Kit. As the first production bonus, a second Panther D turret is provided. Modelers can create a complete Panther Ausf.D tank and also a complete new Pantherturm base too. So consequently, modelers can build up two items. Set in a diorama, for example, this Pantherturm would make a fascinating and novel subject. With this new kit, Dragon is thus able to offer model-makers a true dilemma as to which Panther to build.
