NEW FROM trumpeter 1/1000 Chinese Navy aircraft carrier “Liaoning” CV-16 07313

product description:
The Liaoning aircraft carrier is the first ship of the Chinese Navy’s 001 aircraft carrier. It is the first conventionally powered aircraft carrier equipped with fixed-wing aircraft. The service of the Liaoning aircraft carrier marks that the Chinese Navy has achieved brilliant results. It has the ability to assemble thousands of miles and the offensive and defensive capabilities of ocean operations, further enhancing its ability to maintain territory and sea power.

The prototype of Liaoning aircraft carrier belongs to Marshal Kuznetsov. Formerly known as Varyag, after the launch in 1988, the Soviet Union disintegrated before completion of habitation. Since the ship was built in Ukraine, the aircraft carrier under construction was received by Ukraine after the Soviet Union disintegrated. By 1991, the construction rate of the aircraft carrier had reached 68%. However, since Ukraine did not have enough economic capacity to continue building such complex ships after the Cold War, the ongoing construction plan was forced to be suspended. The ship was later purchased by China from Ukraine for $ 25 million. It was then rebuilt in Dalian Shipyard and delivered to the list on September 25, 2012.

In 1957, the final version was T-10M. The improved model was equipped with a long tube M-62-T2 with a 5-bar retractor. NEW FROM hobbyboss 1/18 ME262 A-1a Fighter 81805

Product introduction:
Being the first operational jet fighter of the world, the Messerschmitt Me262 was one of the most advanced aircraft of its time.

Development for this plane began as early as 1938 and the first prototype made its maiden flight (still propulsed by a piston engine) in April 1941. The first jet powered version flew in July 1942.

Full scale production started in November 1943 but two major aspects, one political and one technical stopped its fast introduction to front line fighter units. The political factor was that the plane should be used as a fast bomber instead of a fighter, and it took until late 1944 and early 1945 until it was officially allowed to use this plane as a fighter. The technical problem was the reliability and availability of the jet engines. They had only a lifetime of about 10 flying hours and production never reached the output necessary. The principal operational versions were the Me262A-1A Schwalbe (Swallow) interceptor and the Me262A-2A Sturmvogel (Storm Bird). The Schwalbe was built in a number of sub-types with alternative armaments installations.

Despite all this problems, over 1400 planes were actually build and put into service. Although the plane was not as maneuverable as its piston driven counterparts, its overall performance superior to many other aircraft of its time. There are several aircraft left in museums around the world.

NEW FROM hobbyboss 1/350 PLA Navy Type 031 Golf Class 83514

Product introduction:
The Type 031 is similar (but not identical) to the Soviet “Golf-I” class. Built at Dalian shipyard, it is the only ballistic missile submarine to have license-built outside it’s home country. The boat was launched into service in September 1964, according to Chinese sources.

Chinese-built to Russian plans, this submarine was originally fitted for three Russian SLBMs. Because the first-generation Chinese SLBMs (JL-1) were larger in diameter than the Soviet missiles, it only has two launch silos in the sail.

NEW FROM hobbyboss 1/72 Soviet 9K714 OKA (SS-23 Spider) 82926

The OTR-23 Oka (Russian: OTP-23 «Ока»; named after Oka River) was a mobile theatre ballistic missile.deployed by the Soviet Union near the end of the Cold War to replace the obsolete SS-1C ‘Scud B’. It carried the GRAU index 9K714 and was assigned the NATO reporting name SS-23 Spider. The introduction of the Oka significantly strengthened Soviet theatre nuclear capabilities as its range and accuracy allowed it not only to strike hardened NATO targets such as airfields, nuclear delivery systems, and command centers, but moving targets as well. It also had a fast reaction time, being able to fire in approximately five minutes, and was nearly impossible to intercept, thereby allowing it to penetrate defenses.

NEW FROM trumpeter German battleship Bismarck 05358 1/350

product description:
The battleship Bismarck was a German battleship that was world-famous in World War II. The ship started in 1936 and entered service in August 1940, with a full-load displacement of more than 50,000 tons, making it the largest battleship in the world at that time.

The Bismarck was a symbol of the Nazi German navy at that time. The ship was well-equipped and well-protected. It was nicknamed “Unsinkable Sea Fortress”, but it was sunk after performing its first combat mission.

During the battle in the Danish Strait, Bismarck sank the battleship cruiser Hood, known as the pride of the British Royal Navy, less than ten minutes after the war. However, the torpedo launched by the swordfish torpedo bomber taken off by the Royal Ark carrier hit the Bismarck, causing the rudder of the Bismarck to be stuck and unable to control the normal navigation direction. The next morning, Bismarck was finally surrounded by the British fleet. After nearly two hours of violent attack, Bismarck eventually sank in the Atlantic Ocean.
