9K720 “Iskander” (NATO named SS-26) is a mobile short-range ballistic missile system produced in Russia.
The “Iskander” with all-terrain maneuverability is the second missile to replace the Scud. The first one is the “Oka River”, but because the Chinese guided treaty was destroyed. The Iskander series of missiles have different warheads, including munitions replenishment warheads, fuel-air warheads, high-explosive warheads, ground bounces, and anti-radar and electronic jammers. The missile can also carry nuclear warheads. The prototype was developed in 1996.
In 2006, the Iskander-M military ballistic missile system began mass production and equipped the Russian army.
